In floor radiant heat
In the pictures below, you can see the tubing for the in floor radiant heat in the basement. We are going to have three zones. This means that Clark's room, Jaina's room and the main room in the basement can be at different temperatures.
Basement floor foam
In mid 90s for heat, Ryan, Scott and Diane put down the foamboard that will act as insulation below the basement slab. The foamboard will make sure the in floor radiant heat goes up into the house and not down into the ground.
Plumbing is done
The weather finally cooperated and we had some dry days. Ryan and Doug were able to finish the plumbing. Here are some pictures of the plumbing and one of Jaina in here "room."

From adobe to soup
Our basement has gone from adobe (sun baked clay) that is very difficult to dig to a soupy mess, also difficult to dig. We are hoping that a few days of sun will find a happy medium.
Ryan and Doug are digging the trenches and laying pipe for the basement plumbing. The next step will be more foamboard and the tubing for the in floor heat. Finally, the basement slab will get poured.

Should not have complained...
...about the rain. Yes, it is snowing...a lot...on May 2...after an 86 degree day earlier in the week. I guess this will make it easier to dig the trenches for the plumbing.
Foamboard
Ryan and Doug put foamboard along the outside of the basement foundation. This will help with keeping it even more water tight and really insulated.
